A fabulous Merlot from the House of Rothschild
This Merlot from 2017 comes from the Pays d'Oc. Pays d'Oc is the IGP title for wines produced in a large area on the south coast of France, geographically equivalent to the Languedoc-Roussillon wine region.
The Merlot is a red wine grape with strong historical links to Bordeaux and the southwest of France. Merlot is widely used today in the wine regions of the world. This Merlot is very supple, as the Merlot grapes are relatively large in relation to their cores and the thickness of the skins in which tannins are found. That's why the wine is less tannic and more fruity. Hardly in the glass of this Rothschild raves Merlot with a shiny ruby red, so that the tasters immediately the mouth water runs together.
For this 2017 Rothschild we would
recommend Lamb roast or stewed veal shank.
