The perfect companion for a tasty evening
This Reserva Granado is a Mourvedre. This is a black-skinned variety that has been grown for centuries in the vineyards around the western Mediterranean. Mourvedre loves warm, dry climate and has small, thick-skinned berries. Mourvedre's fleshy, tart flavors are very characteristic, as are his strong tannins. These properties suggest mixing with other grapes. Single variety Mourvèdre or Monastrell wines are not very common, but as the curiosity of average wine consumers increases, more and more producers are experimenting with 100% Mourvèdre wines. The Bodega Arraez did so already in 2001 and can therefore be regarded as a pioneer in this field.
For this 2001 Bodegas Arraez we would
recommend Veal stuffed with Baba ghanoush or baked eggplant stuffed with lamb.
