Over 40 years of concentrated taste
This Bordeaux blend from the year 1977 comes from the Chateau Garriga. This is a family business since 1782, today covers 75 hectares of vineyards and produces annually 4000 hectoliters of wine. The excellent quality of the wines of this chateau is a gift of nature, as it is largely due to the diversity and uniqueness of the soil. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot thrive on warm, calcareous soils and Sauvignon Blanc on colder soils.
Like most wines from Bordeaux this 1977er is also a Bordeaux blend, speak a mixture of the permissible Rebsorten Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Camenere, whereby usually only Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are mixed. This is also the case with this wine. The Cabernet Sauvignon leads to a fantastic bouquet and a strong structure, which completes the Merlot by its abundance skillfully. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon flourish in Bordeaux Due to the maritime influence, the climate is mild and the long summers are ideal for late-ripening grapes.
For this 1977 Bordeaux Blend we would
Recommend lamb, beef or a Wagyu rib eye fillet.
