Typical and yet very different
This 1993 Château Peyre-Lebade wine has the fruit and richness so characteristic of the Listrac appellation. The Listrac appellation belongs to Haut-Medoc, which is probably one of the best wine regions in France and the world. This wine is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, which in addition to the Bordeaux Blend, is the typical blend of Haut-Medoc. Unusually, however, is the high Merlot share of this Peyre-Lebade of 70%. Through him, the wine gets a special smoothness. The wine has a beautiful, intense purple color with violet reflections. In the bouquet are notes of very fresh red fruits, such as plum, blackcurrant and cherry, a floral hint of violets, with delicate wood tones. On the palate, this Peyre-Lebade awakens a pleasant freshness with a delicate tannin structure.
For this 1993 Peyde-Lebade we would
recommend fried shiitake mushrooms or fried venison with rosemary butter.
