Unusual red wine blend from Spain
This red wine blend is so unusual that you can not just attribute it to a category. Many are regional twists on the classic Bordeaux mix. By adding their local grape varieties to a base Cabernet-Merlot blend, many regions have successfully expanded their wines' appeal while maintaining a certain regionality. Some wineries consciously draw attention to their complicated or unusual mixes and thereby create an inimitable taste.
Cariñena is just one of several DO titles used for the wines of Aragon in northern Spain. Its wine-growing region lies south of the Ebro and northeast of Calatayud. The majority of the vineyards of Cariñena are located in relatively high altitudes between 400 and 800 meters. The climate of the region is very continental, although a cold north wind helps to moderate the summer temperatures and to keep the humidity low.
Let yourself be surprised by the mysterious addition of the winery.
